Paper – A responsible choice

We hear a lot of people talking about how paper is bad for the environment or that paper is not a desirable way to communicate. In fact, paper is one of the few truly sustainable products we have.
For every tree that is harvested, several more are replanted. And as young trees grow, they absorb Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere. Furthermore, trees continue to absorb Carbon Dioxide throughout their lifetime. Sustainable forest management contributes to the reduction in Carbon emissions here in the United States. During the 1990s the amount of Carbon emissions sequestered by forests accounted for absorbing almost 10% of the U.S. emissions of carbon dioxide from fossil fuels.
Paper is a responsible choice because it comes from a renewable resource. In addition, paper is recyclable and biodegradable making it available to use over and over again. What do you think?
